Our lobbyist was able to provide the requested information to the Senate Government & Finance Committee, and we’re happy to report that AB-1736 has passed out of that committee.
AB-1736 will mandate that the local agencies create and maintain a policy for notifying a successful bidder of the selection and approval of the bid within a reasonable time frame, and that they shall also notify unsuccessful bidders of the rejection/disapproval of their bid within a reasonable time frame. “Bidders” include general contractors and subcontractors.
